Programs

Since 2008, we have awarded 473 scholarships totaling more than $5.9 million to Berkeley High School students attending colleges and universities throughout California and across the United States. Students work with a college success advisor and a community mentor to help them navigate the demands and challenges of college.

Our scholars represent the many and varied ethnic and racial groups in Berkeley. Over 87% are the first generation in their family to attend college and 82% are low income.

BCS scholars excel in school and are often leaders in the community. They inspire all of us to reach beyond our circumstances no matter how big or small, striving to make a difference.

At BCS we offer two pathways with one goal — completing a bachelor’s degree.
